Refund policy
Digital Product Refund Policy
Effective Date: August 10, 2026
Seller: MarginForge, LLC
This Refund Policy applies to digital products sold by MarginForge, LLC (“Products”).
MarginForge products are delivered digitally. Because purchasers receive access to the licensed digital files at or shortly after purchase, refund eligibility is intentionally limited.
1. General Rule
All sales of MarginForge digital products are final once access to or download of the Product has been provided, except as required by applicable law, controlling marketplace or payment-provider rules, or the limited circumstances described below.
There is no physical product to return.
2. Refund or Replacement Exceptions
MarginForge may provide a replacement file or refund when one of the following applies:
- A verified duplicate purchase of the same Product by the same purchaser.
- The delivered file is materially corrupted or unusable and MarginForge cannot reasonably replace or correct it.
- The Product delivered materially differs from the Product description that was in effect when the purchase was made.
- Applicable law or a controlling marketplace, payment-provider or platform rule requires a refund.
When a replacement file can reasonably resolve the issue, MarginForge may provide a replacement before issuing a refund.
3. Technical Defect Requests
A purchaser requesting relief because of a suspected technical defect should contact:
Technical-defect requests should generally be submitted within fourteen (14) calendar days of purchase and should include:
- Purchaser name and email address.
- Order number or other proof of purchase.
- Product name and version.
- Microsoft Excel or spreadsheet application/version being used.
- A clear description of the problem.
- Screenshots when helpful.
The purchaser must provide MarginForge a reasonable opportunity to investigate, replace or correct the Product before a technical-defect refund is issued unless applicable law or controlling platform rules require otherwise.
4. Circumstances That Do Not Ordinarily Qualify for a Refund
The following do not, by themselves, create a right to a refund:
- Change of mind.
- A decision not to use the Product.
- Lack of Microsoft Excel.
- Lack of spreadsheet or Excel skills.
- Attempted use in Google Sheets, Apple Numbers, LibreOffice or another unsupported environment.
- An expectation of profit, margin, revenue, bid success or another business result that MarginForge did not expressly guarantee.
- Dissatisfaction with a pricing, accounting, tax, payroll, legal or other business decision made by the purchaser.
- Failure to review the Product description, compatibility requirements or applicable license terms before purchasing.
- An issue caused by modifying, deleting, overwriting, converting, importing or restructuring Product content.
- A purchaser's business circumstances changing after purchase.
5. Compatibility
MarginForge Excel-based Products are designed for Microsoft Excel (.xlsx), unless the applicable Product listing expressly states otherwise.
Google Sheets compatibility is not guaranteed. Opening or converting the Product in unsupported software can alter formatting, validation, charts, formulas or other functionality.
Unsupported-software issues do not ordinarily qualify for a refund.
6. Refund Processing
If MarginForge approves a refund, the refund will ordinarily be sent to the original payment method through the applicable ecommerce platform or payment provider.
Processing and posting times after MarginForge initiates a refund can depend on the payment provider, financial institution and other factors outside MarginForge's control.
Questions about an approved refund may be sent to:
7. Chargebacks and License Status
Nothing in this Policy limits lawful payment-dispute or chargeback rights.
If a refund, chargeback or payment reversal results in MarginForge ultimately not receiving payment for the Product, the purchaser's license to use the Product terminates to the extent permitted by applicable law unless:
- The payment dispute is resolved in MarginForge's favor; or
- MarginForge expressly authorizes continued use in writing.
When the license terminates, the purchaser must discontinue use of the Product and delete operational copies to the extent required by the applicable Terms.
8. Applicable Law and Platform Rules
This Policy is incorporated into the MarginForge Terms of Service and End User License Agreement.
Mandatory law and controlling marketplace, ecommerce-platform or payment-provider rules apply to the extent they require a different result.
